About the Image: This light station was established in 1827. The construction material used was stone and brick. It became automated in 1934 and is still active today. The light station stands 38 feet tall and the focal plane is 79 feet. It is located at Muscongus Bay, Maine. Original optic was a fourth order fresnel lens order in 1856.
